How to remove electrical knockouts on a plastic enclosure:
Enclosures equipped with knockouts allow for easy onsite installation of cables, wiring, and conduits. These electrical knockouts can be removed in two straightforward steps using a flat-head screwdriver.
- Insert the flat-head screwdriver into the slot of the knockout you wish to remove from the electrical box. Typically, position the screwdriver at the edge of the slot closest to the enclosure's base.
- Strike or tap the screwdriver's handle to detach the knockout, and if necessary, finish removing it by hand. Should any rough edges or burrs remain, smooth them out using a deburring tool.
