Is an IP67 Enclosure Right for Your Application?
IP67 enclosures are among the most protective types of electrical enclosures available today, with the ability to act as either indoor or outdoor enclosures, thanks to their durable weatherproof gaskets. Specifying an IP67 enclosure may be the right choice for you if:
- You need a heavy-duty waterproof enclosure that’s suitable for a wide variety of applications, including use as a junction box, power supply housing and many other options.
- Your enclosure needs to resist water and dust ingress from extreme environmental conditions — including rain, snow, sleet and total submersion at a depth of up to one meter for up to 30 minutes. (For enclosures rated for deeper and longer submersion, see our IP68 waterproof junction boxes and enclosures.)
- You’re looking for a widely used enclosure rating that offers plenty of choices, including both metal and plastic enclosures in a range of materials and with diverse feature sets.
If you need an enclosure that offers protection against corrosion, remember that the IP rating scale doesn’t include this factor, so explore our NEMA 4X enclosures instead.
