- Tough Materials: Both our aluminum and ABS plastic enclosures are made from sturdy materials that protect electronic components from everyday wear and tear. Our aluminum enclosures provide additional protective functionality, thanks to their natural resistance to corrosion and magnetic interference, and our ABS models offer UL 94 flame ratings.
- Customization Options: Desktop enclosures often need custom cutouts for connectors, transmitters and other external interfaces. Many also require printed images and/or text that resists fading and peeling. Polycase offers instant quotes on both through our in-house customization services, including precision CNC machining and high-quality digital printing.
- Mounting Hardware: Enclosures with built-in hardware allow device designers and builders to easily mount key components like printed circuit boards. For your convenience, most Polycase enclosures include molded-on PCB mounting bosses, plus additional must-haves such as mounting screws. Some of our desktop enclosures also offer convenient features such as slide-in rails for even easier PCB mounting.
- Removable Panels: Technicians often need to service desktop devices without disassembling the whole enclosure, which is why it’s a common practice to choose desktop enclosures with removable panels. Multiple Polycase series include either removable front panels, rear panels or both, making service simpler than ever.
- RoHS Compliance: It’s important to choose an enclosure compliant with the European Union’s Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) law. Polycase’s desktop enclosures are tested and certified for RoHS compliance, so you’ll never have to worry about non-compliant materials.
