ZH/ZQ Series Basics

Today, we’re still creating innovative plastic enclosures to match a huge variety of specifications, and our ZH Series and ZQ Series are at the forefront of our outdoor NEMA enclosure offerings.

These two series are both built for outdoor performance, and both use some similar features and design elements. Before we dive into the main differences, let’s see which features our Z Series enclosures all have in common:

ZH Series vs. ZQ Series Enclosures

The main difference between the ZH and ZQ Series is that every ZH Series model is available with an optional hinged cover. This cover’s sturdy polycarbonate hinges and stainless steel latches provide easy access when needed while maintaining weatherproof NEMA protection.

The ZQ Series, on the other hand, keeps it strong and simple with a screw-closed configuration. We also offer a screw-closed configuration for ZH Series models, and both series are available with optional tamper-resistant screws.

ZH Series enclosures are NEMA 6P/IP68 rated when using their screw-closed configuration and NEMA 4X/IP66 rated with the hinged configuration. All ZQ Series models are NEMA 6P/IP68 rated.
