Working temperature range is a common concern for some customers when they are choosing a plastic enclosure. They often look for enclosures that can be exposed to extreme high (or low) temperatures or direct sunlight without the box cracking, melting, or distorting in anyway. All plastic Polycase enclosures are molded in ABS plastic or Polycarbonate plastic. The recommend temperature range for ABS plastic is -17°C to 80°C (0°F to 176°F) and ABS should not be expose to UV rays. For Polycarbonate plastic the range is -40°C to 120°C (-40°F to 248°F) and all our Polycarbonate enclosures are UV-stable and intended for outdoor use.Questions or comments? I’m all ears.
