As I mentioned before I am a foodie. Trying new recipes keeps things interesting in my kitchen. I learned very quickly that eye-balling the ingredients when preparing a dish for the first time is not a good idea. If I want it to taste right on the first try, I really need to follow the recipe and its recommended preparation method.Preparing to
modify your plastic electronic enclosures follows a similar notion. Polycase can serve you up a machining quote when one of the below methods is followed for requesting cutouts on Polycase enclosures:1.)
An engineering drawing with the approximate size of the cutout(s) and indication of which side(s) of the enclosure are to be machined.
See acceptable file formats of electronic files below.2.)
A sketch with the approximate size of the cutout(s) and indication of which side(s) of the enclosure are to be machined. The pdf files from the product pages are a good base for a sketch.3.)
A detailed written description including the approximate size and shape of the cutout(s) in addition to which side(s) of the enclosure are to be machined.4.)
A PCB sample with any connectors that would fit through the cutouts & any hardware required to mount the PCB.
