POLYCASE® INTRODUCES NEW VERSATILE NEMA ENCLOSURES WITH MODULAR MOUNTING OPTIONS

August 17, 2020 - Avon, OH -Polycase, a leading US manufacturer of plastic enclosures, has introduced two new NEMA enclosure lines for the electronics and electrical enclosure market. Engineered for versatility, the new ZH Series and ZQ Series boast a dynamic list of attributes. A modern gray aesthetic offers appeal for high-end products while the industrial grade quality and durability benefit everyday applications. The new NEMA enclosures can be used in industries such as alternative energy, agriculture, oil & gas, telecommunication, food & beverage, marine and many more.

Molded from premium impact-resistant polycarbonate, the new series are weatherproof, waterproof and corrosion-resistant for use in harsh environments. A continuous gasket in the cover provides a reliable water-tight seal with a UL Listing to NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 3X, 3RX, 3S, 3SX, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, therefore also meeting IP65, IP66, IP67 and IP68 rating requirements. Tamper-resistant screws and an area for a padlock offer added security for sensitive devices susceptible to unauthorized access.  Strengthening ribs designed into the feet and flanges provide added durability for surface-mounted applications.

Designed for versatility, these enclosures have four separate internal mounting panel options that allow panels to be mounted in the cover, bottom of the base, top of base or suspended at any height within the base with the use of an easy-to-assemble suspension kit. The suspension kit offers dual purpose functionality as a hinge kit for the panel enabling easy access to components below a top mounted panel. Modular mounting bosses in the base and cover provide flexibility for mounting additional components. Available accessories include panel kits, pole mounting kits, DIN rail kits, cable glands and vents.

The ZH Series has a hinged cover while the ZQ Series is a screw-down cover junction box design. Both offer a clear or opaque cover option in 9 sizes ranging from 6”x4” up to 16”x14”. Purchase this high-performance enclosure starting at $40 with quantity price breaks available from Polycase.com.
