10" X 8" X 6" Polycarbonate Junction Box Size Expands Polycase® Outdoor Lineup

New size NEMA 6P / IP68 Rated Enclosures Now Available

Avon, Ohio, December 4, 2015 – Polycase, a US manufacturer of plastic electronic enclosures, has added a new size to both the YH Series and YQ Series of NEMA rated electrical junction boxes.  The new 10” x 8” x 6” size is designed to protect components in harsh environments, meeting NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, 12 and 13 specifications and IP68 of IEC 60529 requirements (UL File No. E352997).

Molded from impact-resistant polycarbonate, the new enclosures feature stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance, a watertight gasket, surface mounting accessories, and optional internal panels.  The YH-100806 has a hinged cover and the YQ-100806 has a screw-on cover, both offering a clear and opaque cover option.

The enclosures are ideal for use in markets such as industrial controls, water treatment, utility, alternative energy, or in any environment where non-corrosive, waterproof enclosures are required.
