Mary, Mary Quite Contrary – How Are Your NEMA Enclosures Hung Part 1
August 28th, 2010
This year for my garden I decided to forego all previous experiences and just buy plants. I’ve always used seeds and well … they do all right. The one year I ended up with 13 tomato plants and nothing else; it’s a hit or miss. So when a couple friends were going garden shopping, I tagged along and purchased the varieties of plants I really wanted to grow. My good friend mentioned last year she’d grown pineapple sage and it was delicious. It actually tastes like pineapple. So I bought one. The only herb I have ever grown previously is basil so I am pleased to say the sage is doing even better than my basil! All in all, my garden has done wonderful this year. I’ve had several harvests already and I’m even growing eggplants (which I have heard is difficult to do in my area.)
So would I say growing a garden from plants is better than starting from seeds? Well I don’t have 13 tomato plants … but is that good or bad? I guess it’s not really a yay or nay situation. There are a lot of things that can still be good if given the correct circumstances.
Take the gasketed enclosures Polycase sells, WA, WP and WC enclosures. These cases do not have molded on flanges. Does this mean you can’t surface mount them? NOT AT ALL! Polycase sells optional mounting flange kits that can be attached to the enclosures externally. These flange kits are available in both the dark and light gray so whichever series you purchase, there’s a matching flange kit for you.
In our next post we’ll explore an alternative method to mount the enclosures. Stay tuned to find out how!
