What is “Green” and What Does it Mean for a Plastic Electronics Enclosure Manufacturer?

August 16th, 2010

Ok here it is: My moment of ditz. Several years ago I saw a Mercury commercial where the spokeswoman stated the model was the “first green vehicle of the year”. I turned to my friend and said, “So what? No one else has used green paint?” Ok if you’re done gaping in awe at the stupidity allow me to redeem myself. This was before the whole world had taken off on the “Green” movement again. At the time, I still thought of “Green” as just planting trees and picking up garbage. Recycling, renewable energy, and hybrid vehicles were a way of life, not just a color. I’m happy to say I’ve come out of my cocoon and learned that the Green movement is alive and well. And it’s not just about renewing its appeal to the younger generations, but about renewing resources for all generations to come.

Celebrating Change at Your Trusted Plastic Enclosure Manufacturer

August 13th, 2010

Nearly 6 months ago, after 13 years, I quit smoking. I walked away cold turkey. It wasn’t the easiest thing I have ever done but it was easier than I thought it would be. I had tried before, managed only one afternoon but by the next day I was weak. My heart wasn’t really in it. This time I tricked myself, saying I just wasn’t going to smoke today. Pretty soon it had been a month, then two. I’ll admit the financial savings has been nice too. As you’ve read previously I’m a bit of a shopping addict so I get to spend my money on my second true love: SHOES.

Why NEMA Electronic Cases Don’t Degrade

August 10th, 2010

It’s summer here in Cleveland, smack dab in the middle of the outrageous humidity, sweltering temperatures, and balmy nights. The minute you step outside you are dripping in moisture. I almost hate to use the word “sweat” because it’s so humid you can’t really tell if you’re sweating or just collecting liquid from the air. Say what you will about bitter cold winters, I’d still take that any day over this heat and humidity.

Why NEMA Electronics Boxes are Stabilized

August 7th, 2010

I may have mentioned once or twice that I’m a little grace-challenged. Ironically, I do better in heels than in flats or tennis shoes. Which is an amazing feat considering, at 5’1” I’m almost always in 3”+ heels. I’m kind of like that Sandra Bullock movie where she plays the tom-boy cop who goes undercover as a beauty queen. She walks onto the screen, sashaying in her sassy dress and stilettos heels, and falls flat on her face. Ya, that’s about right. I found it’s all about the stabilization: protecting myself from the degradation (and pain) of a fall. Either I need something to help me stay upright (even if that’s just planting my feet in a dancer’s position), or keep the momentum moving so I don’t have time to fall.

2D Versus 3D Drawings – The Final Word on Choice Part 4

August 4th, 2010

Because both 2D and 3D offer their own unique benefits and options (there’s that word again) neither will truly ever “win” this question. Many fear that the 3D drawing will be too complex and time consuming to produce, therefore will lead to lost productivity. But the sheer fact that 3D drawings were created shows that there is a desire for these types of drawings.
