Education for a Green Future
March 31st, 2010At Polycase, we care about more than just plastic electronic enclosures. We support many endeavors such as in-plant recycling and conservation, community outreach programs, and all levels of education.
When a team of college students asked for samples of our NX series enclosure for their Formula Hybrid project, Polycase was happy to oblige. We donated a batch of samples to the Lawrence Technological University Formula Hybrid team, helping them develop a hybrid racecar for the Formula Hybrid competition.
How to Find the Right Electronics Enclosure for Your Project
March 28th, 2010Last time we explored how to determine the proper size of the enclosure you need for your project. But, like a clearance rack at a shoe store, just because you have a row of sizes, does not mean you will see the style that you are looking for. It’s there, you just can’t find it with all the other options in the way.
How to Select an Electronics Enclosure
March 25th, 2010My puppy got to play very hard, for many hours, this past Saturday. He was still so worn out on Sunday that he didn’t leave the couch. Which gave me the perfect opportunity to curl up with him and relax without having a crazed puppy running around. It was a nice change of pace, although I was completely baffled by the amount of commercials on TV. And can I tell you: out of all the commercials I saw, all I remember is that Applebee’s Ultimate Trio has over 200 possible combinations. I just kept thinking, how would you decide which of the items you would want?
Helpful Hints: Proper Torque for Plastic Enclosures
March 22nd, 2010A customer from Sioux Falls, SD emailed and asked me what the torque spec is for our enclosure screws, and also for the mounting boss screws. Here’s what I told him:
The torque spec varies by product.
I know this wasn’t exactly helpful so I gave him a little more in-depth description.
The Easiest Way to Accessorize Your Plastic Enclosure This Season
March 19th, 2010For our anniversary, my boyfriend took me to a nice dinner, gave me the same card I got him, a scented candle, and his cold. Waking up Monday morning with a wicked cough, I decided to get medicine. I needed bread and milk, and as long as I was going, I could top off my gas tank. Now the deli by my house sells its very own fresh baked bread which is to-die for, but I couldn’t get gasoline or cold meds there. So I stopped at a chain gas station that also sells all sorts of sundries. My one-stop-shop for everything I needed.
