Works well for me!

"It works pretty well. It requires a thinner PCB thickness (0. 031") than my normal 0. 063". I'd prefer to use thicker boards so large panels of the PCBs don't warp during manufacturing, but alas, I cannot. My PCB costs would be slightly lower if I could use a thicker PCB and could run bigger panels. Small thing. . . I also would prefer a touch more protection around the button so it isn't as easy to accidentally activate in a persons pocket. This is handled in firmware by requiring a longer button press. Again, minor stuff. It works great to get to get to shipping quickly without having to tool up."

I was originally going to

"I was originally going to use the FB-25 for my design but unfortunately after receiving the sample I found that it was not secure enough when clipped together. I could easily open the case by hand when clipped together and if it was dropped on the floor it would open. I am now considering using the FB-40 or FB-45 instead as this clips together much tighter."

Product Overview

The FB-25 is constructed from black flame-retardant ABS plastic, made complete with a molded on key ring and your choice of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 gray silicone buttons for key fob applications. Each button provides a conductive contact on the bottom, and the enclosure snaps together, allowing for the PCB to be captured between the standoffs. An optional battery holder can be purchased separately that provides the user with more flexibility for their specific application. Please note, Replacement for FB-20, components fitting FB-20 will fit FB-25.
