Plastic Enclosures and Temperature Ratings

I’ll let you in on a secret: when it comes to chocolate, I can take it or leave it. Ok, not really a secret to those who know me, but news to you. Now, if there’s peanut butter involved, all bets are off. You’re likely to lose a limb if you try to come between a Reese’s and me. My good friend bought me one of those HUGE Reese’s peanut treats (it’s approximately 6 servings in one bar), which I slipped into my purse for later consumption. I did not notice that while I was driving, it decided to slip itself OUT of my purse. The next day, I attempted to retrieve it from my purse but when I found it wasn’t there, I went to the car and there it was in the back seat. When I lifted it, I discovered it had melted in the extreme temperatures inside the car. Oh the heartbreak.

Prestige Graphics Inc. Recommendation – Saving You Time and Hassle

Oh the joys of home ownership. I was doing laundry the other day and while everything was running smoothly, I heard a very strange grinding noise coming from the laundry room. When I went to check what it was, I saw the dial was set to “spin”. I pulled the lid open a smidge and I see that the tub is indeed not spinning. Great. Now I had to find someone whom does washer repair. Sigh, fine. I did an Internet search of “washer repair” in my area, and came up with a list. Which meant, I now had a date with my cell phone, calling every washer repair company in the area. Not fun.

Plastic Electronic Enclosure: Defining NEMA

One of my favorite lines from my favorite movie is “Define ‘irony’.” This line is spoken by a newspaper editor as she is walking an interviewee to the elevators. Obviously the interview has not gone well and the poor girl stammers around a response but finally spits out, “I don’t know the actual definition but I know it when I see it.”

NEMA Rated Plastic Housings: Baby New Year Brings Addition to the HD Family

As our previous post detailed, our waterproof family got a little bigger by going smaller. Our experiences with the HD-45 taught us that we were doing right by designing enclosures to meet NEMA / IP ratings. That knowledge let us know it was time to add to the family.
