In response to your request for information regarding the status of POLYCASE’s standard (ABS,
Noryl & Nylon) plastic enclosures with respect to the European Union’s RoHS directive 2002-95-EC,
we can provide the following information:
All of our standard enclosures comply with the requirements of the European Union’s RoHS
Directive, 2002-95-EC. One fastener exception is listed below.
Our suppliers of resin, brass inserts, rubber gaskets, screws and hardware have confirmed their
compliance with the RoHS directive. Based on the information that we’ve received from them, heavy
metals and heavy metal compounds of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium
(CrVI), and flame retardant systems based on polybrominated biphenyls(PBB) and polybrominated
diphenyl ethers (PBDE), are not intentionally employed in the manufacture of subject products
exceeding the acceptable amounts.
Listed below is the only current fastener / hardware exception to RoHS compliancy:
-- The screws for Part Number FB-30 are not compliant.
